It is projected that in 2009, Maryland will be home to 476,202 veterans (source: USVA). Upon returning home from combat, these brave citizens face tremendous challenges mentally, emotionally and socially. While Maryland is committed to serving our veterans, we cannot possiblyTwo ladies and children in patriotic clothing thank veterans. reach every veteran of Maryland without the help of veteran service organizations, faith-based organizations, social groups, businesses, law enforcement agencies, schools, sports teams and our local towns and municipalities. You can make a difference.

Become Involved!

Take 5 minutes

Place printed materials about Maryland’s Commitment to Veterans in your front office, store or meeting place.

To request printed materials, send an email to one of our RRCs with the subject: Brochure Request. Please include your first name, last name, organization, complete mailing address, contact email (if different than the one you are emailing from) and the number of brochures requested.

Take the time

When speaking with your members, customers, clients, and visitors, inform them of the services available to Maryland veterans. If you know a veteran, mention the program and direct him or her to the website. Even if the veteran you know does not need help, he or she may know someone that could benefit from Maryland’s Commitment to Veterans.

If you are organizing an event or having a monthly meeting and would like someone to attend on behalf of the initiative; call or email us, to discuss your needs. Please note: Maryland’s Commitment to Veterans is willing and will endeavor to accommodate any presentation request; budgetary and scheduling conflicts may preclude some appearances.
