Accessible Homes for Seniors: The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), in partnership with the Maryland Department of Aging (MDOA), is undertaking a project to promote accessibility related improvements to the homes of seniors.  For more information and eligibility criteria please click here.

Maryland Access Point (MAP) Website is now available. Here, you can assess, learn and search for long-term support information and services throughout Maryland. MAP state partners include the Maryland Departments of Aging, Disabilities, Health and Mental Hygiene, and Human Resources, as well as the Regional Centers for Independent Living. MAP currently has local service sites in ten counties. This site is a resource for consumers, their families and caregivers, and service staff.

It's time for your Benefits Check Up! If you served in the United States Armed Forces you may be entitled to state and federal benefits. Due to the complexities of veterans laws, it is always prudent to talk with an accredited veterans service officer about your earned benefits. Find your local veterans service office here or call 1-800-446-4926 x 6450. Please encourage your fellow veterans to do the same.

VA Suicide Prevention Hotline is staffed 24/7 by licensed mental health practitioners to assist veterans in crisis. 1-800-273-8255

VA RCS Combat Call Center provides 24/7 referral services to all veterans, their families and any concerned citizens trying to assist veterans. 1-877-927-8387

VA National Homeless Call Center provides free, 24/7 access to trained counselors for local resources and assistance for homeless veterans and those at risk of homelessness. 1-877-424-3838
